MOFO - Day 27 - Eden Organic Bean Giveaway!!

ATTENTION POSTERS!! I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THE WINNER OF THIS GIVEAWAY - KRIS. IF I DON'T HEAR BACK FROM THE WINNER BY 11/15/11 I WILL RE-DRAW A WINNER ON 11/16/11.

I've been singing the praises of Eden Organic beans all week, so y'all know how much I believe in the quality and awesomeness of their products. Well here is another reason to love them: a giveaway! I spoke to some very nice people in their office in Michigan today about my love of their BPA-free cans and their beans. For the heck of it, I thought I would ask if they might be willing to provide some beans for one of you, dear readers. I am thrilled to tell you they were happy to do it! YAY!!!

I'm all about the convenience of canned beans, but I also appreciate making them from dried. Eden Foods offers both. They also have refried, seasoned and rice and beans in the can. For this week's awesome giveaway, Eden Foods will be providing 1 can of each of black beans, navy beans, pinto beans and butter beans. What a great variety!!! All you have to do, my dear readers, is a)be a follower of the blog, b) have a US shipping address and c) post a comment on this post about what you would make with the Eden Organic beans if you win them by midnight on Friday 10/28/11. A winner will be drawn at random on Saturday. I will post the winner's name here and on Saturday's post, so make sure to check back and good luck!!

Check out this variety from my very own pantry.

What a great give-away! Veggie sweet potato chili sounds really delicious on this cold and rainy day. I think that I'd make that with all but the butter beans. Those I love hot, in a pretty bowl, with or without corn. Yummy!

I LOVE beans, so I have no shortage of things to make-- I love pasta with chickpeas, rosemary, and red pepper flakes; maybe a veggie chili; or a stew with winter squash, roasted corn, and beans; there's a curry recipe I like for the butter beans... etc. etc. Following blog as "fee", email is teriyaki_tofu_steak at yahoo dot com. :)

Beans are just so perfect for the cool weather.

I'm thinking of enchiladas, some of Isa's veggie sausages with the beans, and, of course, a pot of chili!

Oh wow, I'm getting hungry reading all the comments! Black bean and sweet potato enchiladas...mmmm!
Navy beans and corn bread are a family favorite for New Years,(instead of black eyed peas) so that can would wait a while. Pintos are always fantastic with some red chili. I haven't had butter beans in so long Im not sure what I'd do with them, but bean salad sounds good. This is the time of year everyone has parties to go to, so there's never a shortage of places to take new recipes!

Lynn Robey said...

I have many of your products in my pantry. But I am def going to try the Pinto Burger!

Megan said...

Oh, all kinds of sausages and burgers!
